The sole function of the Dropbox Encore application is to launch a second instance of Dropbox, using the official Dropbox application in your Applications folder.
Warning: This will remove the folder and all of its contents from your Dropbox account, and you will be unable to access it on any computer or device. However, so long as you have not permanently deleted the folder from your trash bin, you can return it to your Dropbox folder and it will reload to the cloud. See step 8 for how to drag files and folders to your Dropbox to upload.

It also makes it easy to share files with colleagues and family members. You can use it to view files on multiple devices, too. For example, you can move pictures you took on your phone to Dropbox and look at them on your computer later.
Dropbox has a main drawback though: it's painfully slow. Yes, it works in the background and yes, you don't have to be checking the uploading rate every ten seconds, but 30 minutes to upload three photos is simply too much for me.

Typically, every user who joins a shared folder will have that folder's size counted towards their allotted quota. For example, if a folder contains 50 megabytes of files, then every user with access to that folder will have 50 megabytes counted towards their quota, even if they did not personally upload the files. The exceptions to this folders shared between users of a single Business account.

An app that allows quick access to the site's storage is available for Windows, Max, Linux, Android, iPhone and Windows Phone. Once it is installed, the user will be able to quickly access their online folders through their desktop or mobile device.
After that, your folder with all files still remains on your hard drive, you can also trash it.
Quit the Dropbox application.
Trying to select photos, during uploads, or generally trying to do anything in the app it will lock up and suddenly crash with no warning.
